As we are located in a marginalized neighborhood, our students don't usually get many opportunities to experience different types of music. Our students have only been playing the ukulele since December 2017, and for some this is their first year (September 2018). All students from grades 1 - 8 learn the ukulele at our school! We also study world music (this year with Ghanaian drums!), electronic music composition, band instruments, and vocal. This school year we are even trying to make our own instruments, through a STEAM project!
